Kindergarten Graduates

Thank you to everyone who came and shared in our kindergarten celebration. The students were so excited to share this special day with each of you.
I did have some inquiries about people wanting access to the slideshow that was presented at the graduation. My plan is to add the graduation pictures to the slideshow, fix the errors on it and then I will post it to the k blog. I will also try and burn copies of it on cd for people who are interested.

The last day of school is on Tuesday. Please send an extra bag or two with your child on this day in order to take home all their supplies, clothes, etc.

Learning about Mass

Our class was fortunate to have Mrs.Muir visit our class for a second time. This time we explored mass using many types of objects. We used some new math language that is used when comparing mass, such as heavier and heaviest, lighter and lightest and the same. We used balance scales, paper bags filled with objects and the hand test to see if we could tell which objects were heavier or lighter. We also used our eyes as tools to see if we could predict which objects were heaving or lighter just by looking at them. It was a lot of fun and we are so happy you came to our class. Thanks Mrs. Muir:)
